Chainsaw Vibes

I used to have a gas chainsaw that was persnickety to start and even harder to keep running – so I mostly stopped chainsawing. Then, for Father’s Day, my lovely family got me an 18” electric one and now I can’t stop. Is it powerful enough to take down a redwood? No. Do I live in a redwood forest? Also no. Are chainsaw guys judging me right now? Probably. And we probably also all doth protest too much.

Anyway, the point is that here in mid-Missouri my EGO starts reliably and handles 99.9% of what needs chainsawing. Give yourself a tool that does that and there’s suddenly a lot more you want to and can do.

In other words, the tool changed my behavior. See, there aren’t necessarily good or bad tools, only used and unused ones. Double down on the former, get rid of the latter, and you’ll end up with a couple cords of firewood.

Have a great weekend.

Tim
