I’m Glad You’re Reading

Reader Jeff wrote me back about funny stories to let me know that he was in the room when I told those skeptical, type-A business schoolers that if they wanted to succeed as capital allocators, they should try to be entertaining and likable.

He added that I had read the room correctly. A lot of them did not buy it. But also that I am “absolutely [effing] right.”

Now, I appreciate that. But here’s where I get tripped up.

Jeff did the two things that will get you frequently written about in these whatever-they-ares. He (1) gratuitously dropped the f-bomb and (2) agreed with me. (A corollary is that this is why my lovely wife is infrequently written about in these whatever-they-are.)

So now I’m wondering if I’m becoming predictable or even being baited into doling out cameos?

Jeremy, for example, wrote back – again – after making a cameo in that same whatever-it-is about funny stories to say he was immediately adding “Featured in Unqualified Opinions” to his LinkedIn profile. (Dammit. Now he’s baited me twice).

Eff it. If I’m being baited, so be it. I’m just glad you’re reading and writing back.

Have a great weekend.

Tim
